In order to study the effects of moxibustion on anemic condition as a acute loss of blood, white rats were induced loss of blood by cardiac puncture. The moxibustion was treated into Jeun-Jung(Sample 1), Gyeog-Su(Sample 2) and Jeun-Jung + Gyeog-Su(Sample 2), these loci were correspond to human body.
The effects of moxibustion on anemia were measured by the concentration of hemoglobin, the values of hematocrit, the number of RBC and the concentration of iron in serum.
The results were summarized as follows;
1. The measurement of the concentration of hemoglobin, the numbers of RBC, the values of hematocrit and the concentration of iron in serum were shown a remarkable increase in Sample 1, Sample 2, and Sample 3.
2. The measurement of the concentration of hemoglobin were shown a remarkable increase in Sample 2, and Sample 3.
3. The measurement of the values of hematocrit were shown a significant increase in Sample 1, and Sample 2.
4. The measurement of the numbers of RBC were shown a significant increase in Sample 2.
5. The measurement of the concentration of iron in serum were shown a significant increase in Sample 3.
